I don’t know why, but I am just excited.
Maybe it has to do with the fact that I didn’t go
to work today so I had all day to do whatever I wanted and
I actually got some shit done.
Maybe it’s because I talked to Harris and my family
and Lindsay all in one day.
Maybe it’s because I have a few things brewing that
I’d rather not share.
I should start looking around and seeing how much
it would cost to print a comic. It can’t be that
expensive. I mean Dave Sim only gets out about 2,000 a
month and he’s still in business. But then again I hear
that a lot of pole go into a lot of debt when they start
doing something like that. Like Terry Moore (he publishes
Strangers in Paradise, another one of the best comics ever
made). He said in the introduction to his first trade
paperback that he was still paying off his dept, and the
paperback was published about 2 years after the original
comic book came out (TPB’s work by first printing a comic
with letters pages and advertisement, etc. and then after
the storyline is done, the entire story arc (anywhere from
4 to 50 issues) is printed in what is called a trade
paperback). So maybe I shouldn’t just jump into something.
Or maybe I should.
“Reaching out to embrace whatever may come”
OK, leave me alone.
