Embarassment

That pretty much sums up yesterday. We were hosting a
guard show at our school so we, the scholastic drumline
played for a couple of judges. We sucked horribly and so
we did the show again and it was a little better but still
sucky. I know it was their first show and blah blah blah,
but we were better last year...we are 2 times defending
state champs in Texas. And it's all going down. Well,
this is good for them in a way cause they are learning and
all that but it's a little scary, I'm in charge now and I'm
trying my best to not be like our section leader from last
year but like the one from my freshman year. They will get
better, I know it...they just need a lot of practice. On
the upside, I'm on the independent drumline with helluva
good players, except for like 2 Magnolia people...but they
have easy parts. A guy on snare line just got out of
prision for armed robery and he's a coke head...he's a
little scary, I dont think I will be talking to him any
time soon. The guy on bass infront of me is awesome, he's
a senior and is soooo great so I've got a little
competition...j/k. I'm not as good as he is, I'm so happy
to be on this line. We're going to have a great year.

I did have a good time yesterday after the whole guard thing. Landis
picked me up and then we went to Taco Bell/Pizza Hut for him to apply
for a job. He had to take a really long personality test and then we
were on our way to Dennys and had great food. Then we came to my
house and watched a couple of movies. I'm not sure if I will get to
see him today, I have independent drumline practice from 1-5.
