THE STAGES OF LIFE

Its FUNNY HOW EVERYTHING CHANGES, HOW NOTHING Is THE SAME
ANYMORE. Like when you’re little and the only thing most
kids had to worry about was whether or not the boogieman
was real. How the holidays were fun and family was still
important. How it didn’t matter what you looked like or
how much money your family had. Everyone was friends with
everyone. Like being in elementary and always having those
same friends year after year. Hanging out with your
friends in the summer time until it got dark. Always
having “why” questions to get answers because you’re so
innocent and the world seems so big to you. Then YOU HIT
JUNIOR HIGH AND FRIENDS CHANGE. CLASSES GET A LITTLE HARDER
AND HOMEWORK IS A MUST. HOW FRIENDS SAY HOMIES FOR LIFE
AND IN A COUPLE MONTHS THE BOTH OF YOU HATE EACH OTHER.
How finally turning 13 is such a big deal. Your first
boyfriend or girlfriend you claim to like so much and a
week later you like someone else more. Then high school
comes and you meet new people make new friends. How being
in high school made you think your cool. But as you start
to look around you see different things. Like the friends
you had in elementary are completely different. Then 9th
grade ends 10th grade two down two more years left and you
say you can’t wait to be a senior and turn 18. Then there
you a senior and almost 18 and now you realize that you
can’t goof off its time to become an adult. Its time to get
a job and go to college. Then you look back at your life
and sometimes wish you could go and change things. How you
miss being a kid. The carefree spirit, the innocents of not
knowing about the bad things in the world. And now that
you’re older and realize that so much bad is in the world,
your once so big world becomes even bigger than you can
imagine. You also then realize that you’re not even half
way done with your life. That your life has only begun and
you wonder what the world has instore for you. So you no
longer fear the boogieman but life itself. And its not so
much life you fear just not knowing whats a head of you.
Then you realize it won’t be long before you have kids and
your kids go through the same things. Being so innocent.
care free and full of sprit. Their friends will come and
go and just like your parents did for you, you will do for
your children. Pick them up when they get hurt, the
disappointment when you find out things about them you
didn’t know. But like your parents you will always love
them. And also like your parents you will watch them grow,
go through the same things you went through. and they will
think that you don’t understand, when infact you understand
a lot more than what they think. And then your children
will have children and the stages will start themselves all
over again. For this is the change of life.
