I Just Love Being A Girl
Christmas, Friends and Movies
Greetings folks!
Wow, seven days till Christmas, it's hard to believe. I
can't believe how fast this year has gone by, it seems like
just yesterday we were celebrating New Year's. Lots of
stuff has happened this year, the WTC/Pentagon thing, the
loss of George Harrison, the war, it's just a crazy place,
the world.
I don't know about anyone else but I've kind of had a
difficult time getting into the "Christmas spirit" this
year. I think it has something to do with the fact that we
are at war and there are over 5,000 families who will be
missing loved ones and friends, and besides, it's hard to
enjoy a holiday when we are hunting for crazies.
I spent the night with a friend last night, it was pretty
cool. I really thought that our friendship sort of
fizzled, in fact, the other day I told my mom that very
thing and the next day she called. We saw a movie, did a
little shopping and I spent the night at her place. I
can't help but wonder though if she only invited me because
either A) she felt guilty or B) she really had nothing
better to do and didn't want to spend the night alone, in
any case I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it.
The movie we saw was "Behind Enemy Lines" with Gene Hackman
and Owen something-or-other. It was a pretty good movie,
it was a war flick, something that we really don't need to
see these days, but saw anyway.
Until next time, America.
