Crazy What You Could've Had

The Light Brightens A Little.

The smoke clears.

Things become apparent.

Finally I have something to report of interest. Not of
anything I did today. Sitting in front of the TV and
blowing up balloons can be encapsulated in 10 words. It was.

It was more a mind thing. I've not been able to express my
feelings, but I'm going to go for it now. I want to thank
Kris (Demon Cleaner - well worth the read) for how he put
it.

Basically its this. I am known as 'Grandad', because I'm
not young. I don't do what young people do. I drink real
ale, I like Bob Dylan, I don't dress up like gigolo/hooker
on a Saturday night and try and lock lips with somebody I
don't care about.

I believe in love, I believe in truth, and I believe in
good prevailing over evil. I don't do everything that is
forcefed to me through the media I have to hand. I take
that, I do what I want with it. Some of it I mock. Some of
it I enjoy. Some of it I gasp at. The rest I ignore.

I prefer things that say something to things that look
good. They'll be here forever.

I think there's two kinds of things. Those that are here
now, and those that are here forever. Nowadays people are
being forced into things that are here now, and told that
things that will last forever are bad.

Example; George Harrison (thanks to Kris again). His death
sparked universal mourning. The people who were saddened
are those that matter. Those that have grown as people
since they gained the power of independent thought.

The people who bullishly (and foolishly) said they didn't
care were wrong. They are the people who spend too much
time being told what to do and then telling people they do
exactly as they please. Please! Right. Rant over. Read on
for part 2 where I go into how I feel about me right now...
