i walked up to my mom and said..

i walked up to my mom and said "mom, where do bad people go
when their dead?" she looked at me and shook her head, not
wanting to me the truth, i just waited a few months, till i
asked again, and she looked at me and said "nope" i knew
she wasn't going to tell me, so next time, i went to my
father, i asked "father, tell me, where do bad folks go
when they die?" he looked at me, his only son, with a
sadness in his eyes, and i looked up at him, and wondered
to myself, is this man, going to cry? but my father didn't,
and he held me in his lap and told me the truth about hell,
and i sat and listend, scared with every word he spoke. my
body trembled, when he talked of the devil, and i cried
when i found out, that that's where bad folks go when they
die, and its not a pretty sight.
a year later, i was only 5, and my daddy was working in
a fact'ry d we got a call around noon, saying it was
urgent, and to hurry, so we got in our car, and drove to
the station, where the police man work, and i took a look
around, i stared up, i stayed down, as the man in the suit
told my mom somethi'n that made her go blank, then cry, she
picked me up, and held me close, and i didn't know why,
finally i pulled away from her, and asked "mommy, why you
cry?" then she said " remember, my son, when you asked me
where, the bad folks go when they die?" i looked up and
nodded, and she said " my child, your father has gone to be
with the devil, and i know there is no way out, but don't
you cry son, we'll stand back on our feet again, and we'll
pull ourselves up" and as we turned to leave from the big
building in downtown, as i looked up, and i looked back
down, i saw my dad'y in the back of a cell, i looked
closer, and i saw what i saw, my dad'y looked at me, and
frowned. ( meaning: Son's father, had been fired fomr his
job at the factory, and to deal, he killed his boss, and
in stead of telling her son, the mother just told him he
went to hell, instead of breaking the news to him)
