What's a gal to do?

Last night my girlfriend calls me and starts ranting about
her boyfriend who is much older than her. It is clear to
everyone in our circle of friends that he is clearly useing
her. He works at the post office making $42,000 a year and
feels the need to borrow money from her. Meanwhile she is
working 3 jobs so she is able to provide some kind of life
for her daughter and herself. Money isn't the only issue
here, she cleans his house while he sits at the bar every
night after work only to come home drunk and beat the
living crap out of her. She found phone numbers in his
wallet and on his cell phone bill and she's still clueless.
We have told her countless times to get away from him and
it is like talking to a brick wall. She knows that she
should and she wants to but I think she's afraid of being
alone. Let me tell you, the first five minutes I first met
her boyfriend, I couldn't stand him. He was so foul mouthed
towars her, towards me ect.. Most people would think that
the first time you meet your significant others friends or
family that you would want to make the best impression you
can. This guys must have it in his head that acting like a
pompus ass makes him look hot. That's a whole other story.
G (my girlfriend) is about 105lbs, long red hair, good
sense of humor, and has a realy nice personality. C (the
ass) is chunky, has a lisp, shaggy dark greasy hair and
last but not least HAS NO ASS! I am fresh out of ideas what
kind of advice to give her. The sad thing is that there are
millions of battered women in the world who choose to stay
because of their own self esteem problems. I'm afraid that
one day he might kill her if she don't get away from him
now. What's a gal to do?
