Goodbye George

George Harrison died last night. Cancer. I don't feel the
same sense of tragic loss I felt when Lennon was
senselessly shot down in 1980,but it is a tragic loss just
the same. Harrison was one of my favorite Beatles,after
Lennon. I grew to appreciate him more after the Anthology
aired. His guitar playing was truly sublime and horribly
underrated. He wrote some great fuckin songs too. I always
preferred Old Brown Shoe to Something,I,Me,Mine and For You
Blue are Harrison classics as are the obvious "Gently Weeps"
and If I Needed Someone.It's a sad day,it's raining and my
rocks are slowly turning to dust.
