what's the point of caring?

She refutes my every opinion.
My efforts seem to have gone in vain.
She tells me I'm too hard.
They tell me things must change.
Everytime I try to care and express an opinion as such,
I'm stomped out like bug.
What's the point of caring,
if all it does is bring me grief.
Let someone else take the worry
because i want some relief.

Just smile and nod,
that's all I have to do.
