Can’t complain about fried Bologna

I remember a time when mom’s stayed at home with the kids while the dad went to work. Every day was set for chores of running the household for the mom to take care of. Monday was Laundry day. We were lucky to have a washer and dryer at home, but I do remember days when the washer or dryer would not be working and I would have to carry a basket or two of clothes up the road, cross the bridge to a local laundry mat. It was not really far. If I walk to the corner here and back...that would be about equal to the distance. I actually loved Mondays when the washer or dryer was broken. Somewhere to go I guess.

Today with it raining, walking out to the patio is sketchy...got to dance around a drizzle or light rain...or just do not go out there. I have a pot of potato soup in the crock pot and it will be ready to start eating on by noon. Everyone here seems to be back to normal diets so it is not real hard to plan meals....

...he and I have talked about how to buy groceries cheaper...and I reminded him of the days when we were kids, my mom cooked every day and we were sort of poor, but we did not miss any meals. She always cooked breakfast, grits, eggs toast and once in a while she would add bacon. Not every day though. For dinner, it was like meat and potatos. She liked to make cole slaw, which here we make pretty often....she would open a can of green beans, peas or some other type of vegetable...one of my favorite meals, was a slice of crispy liver mush with cold slaw and stewed potatoes...it was a treat for sure. My mom always baked biscuits too...another treat when she added gravy to the meal. So, we have really changed the way we buy and cook around here. And when the economy gets back to normal or ever does, I do not see any reason to stop cooking this way instead of spending too much. We have that freezer for a reason, and if we save enough money, we can buy half a cow, a pig to be processed and have enough meat for the entire year. Never having to but meat at the store...would save anyone money on groceries...and if we do not cook it every day it would last longer....

So, today...potato soup, cole slaw...and maybe some fired Bologna...another fried meat I think is great tasting....last night he cooked a meat loaf...it was awesome...and we saved enough to make sandwiches out of...for lunch or snacks. We are still all trying to keep our weigh down too...so, smaller portions...is the way to go.

I watched the Super Bowl last night until right after half time before falling asleep. I was so happy I recorded it and added an hour after it was scheduled to end...so I got to watch the over time....to the end this morning. Very impressive game. I can’t complain about anything. It was a great game. The half time was superb. Most half time presentations are. But no one has topped Prince singing Purple Rain...in the rain. That was unbeatable. Usher did fine last night...lots of people on the field. I thought it planned out great...all that stage stuff and people out of the way...and the field back to game ready in what seemed like minutes...
I did fast forward past the announcers...I just do not find them interesting enough to listen too.

Ok...I am gonna say it...so brace yourself. I really think the announcers make men in general look bad. I think we know men are smarter than how some of those guys act on camera. They were so funny during that epic Cowboys game...I swear a peed in my pants laughing at them....ok...I forgot about that...but after that. I laughed so hard...they acted like they were pitching some sort of tantrum...heartbreak...all but laying in the floor kicking their feet crying. LOL

Glad to fast forward through them last night....

When Taylor's boyfriend shoved his coach and screamed in his face?
Yea, I saw that and was disappointed in his behavior. You see what I mean? The announcers, the players too sometimes appear to be entitled to get their way....and paid way too much to behave like brats. I wonder if he is a future woman beater? How did you feel seeing him act that way? Is she safe with this guy or what? Not a good look. Take notes...teach one another to do better.

If she decides to break it off, she may want to do it in a text when she is in Japan or far away. He might not take it well and want to shove her too. I did not like it.

Okay I was not gonna complain, but went right into a rant....

Glad they won....hope you were all happy about the experience....
I was good with it......I think the NFL have won back some fans....

NOTE TO BUD LITE = ( it takes time )

Ok time to fold a load of clothes and start another load....

later

THe old ways of cooking.... Back to basics, backward looking.... That football game Was anything but lame I missed that yelling at the coach I think Tay-Tay too smart to have a dude Going off on her her; too rude Hopefully, if anybody puts hands on her She'll put it in a song, plus her fans Will cancel that dude to hell. From a top of the pedestal, they would've fell...! Potato soup!! 🤗
