Still no luck on the hatch challenge in Dead by Daylight. I came close once; I saw the hatch, but the Killer downed me before I could reach it.

The weather is very cloudy today, so we might be getting some storms. As always, I would welcome the storms. The break room is hot again, so I don't know if the air conditioner broke down again, or if it's just been turned off. I'm hoping it's the latter. I find it ridiculous that all of the Walmart stores' AC units are controlled by the home office in Arkansas. I don't even see how that's possible. So it looks like I'll have to rely on my little USB fan again.

I still haven't resumed my daily writing exercise yet. I've been stuck on what to write. For the Playthings story, I know Dwight would wake up at the campfire after tending to the Huntress. But I kind of want to write a dream where he's a US President. It would be like Dwight to have a dream like that, since he can never become a President in reality. I should also create a Playthings story project in yWriter. It would help organize chapters and scenes, much like Campfire and Scrivener. But unlike those two, yWriter is free. Why pay for a program when you have free alternatives that work just as well? It's why I use WPS Office over Microsoft Office.

I still haven't gotten all the way through this list of games on this mini arcade, but I have a feeling I won't find anything else unique. I'll just pick out a couple of favorites from what I have tried. Perhaps the Pikachu/Tetris game and Pinball. Maybe a couple of others.

My bi-weekly deposit came in today. I still have plenty of food at home, so there isn't anything I really need to buy. It's amazing what not coming to Walmart could do for my budget. How can I keep this up?

It's been a pretty average day at Walmart. The oddest thing to happen was near the beginning of the shift when a lady came to the service desk with a suspended transaction. Her predicament was that her gift card was being declined at the front registers, but would work fine at customer service. It was a Walmart gift card, so it doesn't make sense to work at customer service, but not at the front end registers. So the lady wanted to transfer the funds on that gift card to a new one. It made sense to do, and I had done it before, so I rang up a new gift card and attempted to use her old one as the payment, only to get an error saying that you can't pay for a gift card with another gift card. So something had changed since the last time I had done it (which was admittedly a long time ago). So now the lady was getting indignant, telling me she wanted a gift card that works, she wanted to speak to a manager, etc. Her request was fair enough. I just hoped she wasn't getting any misconceptions about us, like we were refusing her request for the sake of being jerks. That wasn't the case at all. We wanted to do it. We used to be able to do it in the past. I know she watched me try to do it. But the register wouldn't allow us to do it, and that is beyond our control. I later learned that she was eventually able to use her gift card, so that should solve her dilemma.
