Adjusting Expectations

So today is April Fool's Day, and me being part of a proper group called The Fools Gang, we take basically this whole month to ourselves. Usually my friend does some art, but life hasn't been kind to her, so she's not going to be able to do it this year.

In her stead, I'm trying to step up a bit. Already need to do right by some friends in the group, and I had an idea to revisit some older art of mine. Issue is, it's 14 pieces of art, and I don't have the energy to do much right now.

Having to extend kindness to yourself is hard, but it's a skill I'm going to have to get good at. 14 pieces is a lot of art, and I'm already hurting from the friend I lost. So I'm having to accept that my best right now isn't my 100 percent. And that's okay.
