The Murder Capital + TV Priest + Prima Queen

Thur 23/02/2023
We got the train back at 08:32, picking up a very filling vegan sausage roll at Sheffield station, and worked on the train. We changed at Retford, which like Lichfield has tracks running under each other at right angles.

The Doctor phoned after we’d been to Organico for lunch. I’m now booked in for an appointment next week to sort out my ear. In the evening we walked down to The Forum.

The Murder Capital, the main band, who we went to see, could do a great half-hour set, if I chose the songs. Of their 75 minutes set, a couple of songs were durges and many were boring, but the good ones are superb. The singer was too full of himself. He crowd-surfed a couple of times.

I had less than five hours sleep last night so was quite weary, standing up again all night. Support bands were:
TV Priest: Playing their songs this afternoon made me realise I only knew a couple of them. The singer was a big bald bloke with a beard and a strong London accent.
Prima Queen: from bristol, a bit samey. One of them was a bloke in a wig, dressed like a girl. His legs looked ridiculous though, I wonder if he’d look better in thick tights and long boots. The others were an actual girl in another mini-skirt, and another very pretty singer. We missed the start, but saw enough to get an impression.
