Away in the fast train I go,
away from the smiles exchanged,
away from the last embrace,
all left for an unforgiving haze.

As you rush toward the car,
I stand alone on this street.
A wild wind through my hair;
a pang of sorrow inside me.

The white T-shirt you wore
blended in so easily;
vanishing before my eyes
as if you were destined to leave.

I cry into the mist

You ride away to a dazzling world
where I only exist on a screen.
