Not ready for something short-term again

It seems I'm already starting to find new people to hang out with. My biggest fear is that this story might end like all the other ones in the past. The people who know me like to ask how I am when we bump into each other but other than they don't want to get close to me and call me when we are apart or anything like that. I've always been the one left out. No, no, no, I'm not ready for this again, it drives me crazy!

I'm not ready for something short-term again, regardless of whether we are talking about friendships or romantic relationships. As for the latter, I'm 27 so it is really getting too late.
