How do you defend yourself…

How do you defend yourself and not be accused of gaslighting?

I asked what’s wrong. She tells me I did something I didn’t do. I tell her I didn’t do that and I’m told I’m defending myself and I should just be listening. That doing that is gaslighting. If I don’t correct Her, I’m literally accepting that as the reality… if I don’t say anything, I’m an asshole.
