The dream team

I did the book design of someone else’s book. That author told me that having me and her illustrator was like having a dream team. It was a nice compliment. I’ll take it. Doing book design work wasn’t my goal. I’d much rather do this for myself every few months… but I can’t see to get traction on my book sales. The sales are consistent, but low and marketing costs more than the income. So I need to offset the loss with something… and I can do book design work. It doesn’t pay great, and it’s time consuming, but at least it’s work and the only overhead is the software. I make them reimburse for fonts if they choose one I don’t have that isn’t free.

Anyway… Monday’s and Tuesday’s seem to be my days to actually work on business stuff. I’m hoping to get a lot accomplished. I need to figure some stuff out… like why my hardback is sold on Amazon from some other company and not my own. What the hell Amazon? I don’t know how or why that happened, but I need to fix it.
