Lost for words at times
Grandson - Covid
On my way home this morning from work after finishing my 3 night shifts. I video called my grandson (9) he has confirmed covid with symptoms, high temperature, cough, loss of taste and smell. He broke my heart, 'nannie am l going to die?' "
No, nannie only has warriors looking out for her" was my answer. This poor little man, off his own back is staying in his bedroom and won't do bathroom breaks without his mask for fear he will also give it to and kill his mommy, daddy and his 2 sisters. This is regardless of what my daughter has tried to explain to him.
Covid is messing with our furture childrens mental health.
My song today, is for my grandson that l used to sing to him as a baby.
Cuppycake song by Amy Castle
"You're my honeybunch, sugarplum
Pumpy-umpy-umpkin, You're my sweetiepie
You're my Cuppycake gumdrop
The apple of my eye
And I love you so
And I want you to know
That I'll always be right here
And I love to sing
Sweet songs to you
Because you are so dear..."
Nannie loves him so very much :'(
You all take care of you x
