Dr. W's Space Travels
Space Cadet Wants a Memorable Weekend
Dr. Wood LIII
I had a technician come over yesterday and my Internet is still fudged. They scheduled me for an appointment in like a week and a half… so until then, I have to deal with this unstable Internet. Granted, the tech did do some fixes and helped the situation, so it’s really not all that bad. It’s just that the Internet drops from time to time. The worst part is when it drops during the middle of a Teams call at work or something (which it’s done…) The issue likely lies within the wiring of the building, which they are going to replace for my unit in the next appointment. I thought about maybe moving my modem and router to a different coax port in my room – not sure if that would help, but one can hope. If everything’s fine with my modem and router (as they are brand new), then that would be my next course of action for personal steps to mitigate the suck. If it doesn’t help, well, then it’s all completely out of my control. I’ve done everything I could to make something work and I’m tired of getting so frustrated about it. I’m just gonna have to adapt for the next week and a half.
It is now the weekend. A lovely Friday evening. I always feel so at peace when this time of the week rolls around. Imagine the inverse of Sunday blues – Friday… reds? I dunno haha. But that’s kinda what I feel right now. Like even the Internet issues aren’t bugging me anymore. I can still watch shows with minimal interruptions (still sometimes happens, though), so that’s a plus. I even watched my speedrunner friend play some Lovely Planet Remix over Discord without the call dropping once, which was such a win (and that was like an hour and a half-long call!) For my usual life update, I just finished watching Shimoneta: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist, which was a really fun watch. Tons of dirty humor, suggestive hand movements, panties, panties on faces, panties in white wine, yaoi works, and of course Anna Nishikinomiya’s “love nectar”. What an entertaining show that was. I’m still trying to figure out what I wanna watch next – this is always the hardest part of anime-watching. I recently started on the Paulette route in Maitetsu and I’m already in love with it. I’m afraid of falling deeply for Paulette, she has the potential to be a substantial favorite across any animanga. I haven’t been playing Gex 64 or DDLC lately, so I’d like to get back into that. Uh what else… posting on my FB page, designing those anime character face thingies, contemplating life, etc. Yep, that sums things up. Oh – and I couldn’t quite make any progress with lucid dreaming, but I’m still trying. I realize I haven’t done any reality checks today – I could’ve been living in a dream this whole time and not even known. SMH.
I don’t have a ton to talk about today. I’d really like to try to make this a fun weekend for myself. Like a fun AND memorable one. I know I need to go to the recycling center tomorrow, and then after that… well, I’m not sure. I’ll watch some seasonals and maybe decide on my next main show… and I’m sure I’ll play some video games… but what else? I’d been thinking a lot about rewatching or rereading a childhood classic – there’s so much I want to reexperience as an adult. Or maybe I can try to bake something? I don’t ever bake so that would be something very new to add a highlight to my weekend. There was a short period of time where I really enjoyed doing that – I should give that a try again. There’s no shortage of possibilities for how to spend the weekend! I can do so many things besides just the usual! I’ll make sure to report back once I’ve done something new. And if I don’t, I’ll spend the entirety of my upcoming Monday wearing a Blue Snow cosplay. That’s, Blue Snow from Shimoneta. I think it’s better to just advise one to look it up rather than me describe it. Let’s just say, there’s a lot on the line. And it ain’t the clothesline.
