Living Without Lighting
A Lovely Day at the Beach / My Secret Diary
For the first time in six months, I decided to treat myself today and spend some time at the coast. I started it off by walking down the main strip of the beach town I visited, and after looking through some enchanting souvenir shops I got lunch at a well-acclaimed seafood restaurant. I treated myself to an entre of Lobster Ravioli, and needless to say it's one of the most delicious dishes I've ever had. Afterwards, I drove a little ways down the coast to a different beach, as the shorefront next to the town was crowded and unkept. The water was surprisingly freezing for such warm weather, and I could only keep my legs in the water without freezing. After what seemed like thirty minutes of standing in the ocean, I trudged out of the water and got ready to go home.
I feel like this is the millionth time venting about this, but I still feel torn regarding my desire to share my experiences with this site combined with concerns for my own personal privacy. On one hand, since I've started this online journal I've met some cool and supportive people. On the other hand, if I were to mention details as little as the name of the beach town I visited I'd immediately put myself on the map. As a result, I started a private diary on my computer nearly a week ago, and I think I'll be using these two interchangeably from now on. I don't want to give this website up anytime soon.
