Day 5 / The Lady in Cuffs

I want to start this entry off by stating that I was going to attempt to entertain myself for a couple hours on minecraft, until I realized that writing would probably be more productive instead. Progress wise I'm still addicted, unfortunately. I've yet to be able to fall asleep before four, and at night the cravings are still going strong. At this point I feel like the only thing keeping me from smoking my pot is the fact that my therapy appointment is tomorrow, and I don't want to sleep through it like I did last week because I was too groggy to wake up before 1pm. Even still, that Gorilla Glue #4 is sounding extremely good right now and I can feel my brain fiending for it.

In other news, I had the privilege of watching a lady get arrested outside of my work today. Something must've gone down at the laundromat next door, because two police cruisers pulled up and within minutes I could see a lady kicking and struggling as she was hauled into one of them by two cops. According to a customer, this happened to her often and she's been known to randomly yell and make paranoid ramblings while drunk. My town is just chock-full of broken people, isn't it? I'm no exception, of course :).

Anyways, I don't really have anything else to talk about. I knew from the start that quitting weed again would be hard but I've gotta do what I can to make it work. I'm really hoping that this therapist turns about to be the real deal, and isn't another bullshitter like the one who pretended to counsel me for four months prior. He told me last time we met that he specializes in addiction, so I guess it'll be a happy surprise when I tell him about my Mary Jane melodrama and what I've been doing to keep it under control. Tomorrow will tell. Until next time...
