On My Way There

11:11

"It's 11:11!" I got myself ready to pray.
"It's 11:12 to me." says my sister.
I checked on my phone. "No, it's 11:11." I told her. But upon returning to my ritual, it's already 11:12.
"You wasted that 2 seconds of my life!" I shouted.
"That's the purpose!" My sister replied.

This encounter was nonsensical. However, i find it it meaningful.
For the entire day today, i was procrastinating. I didn't open any of my reviewers and I spent time watching in netflix. But the moment I saw that's it's 11:11, I see to it that I maximize that rare 1 minute in a day I consider lucky. I realized I was treating time as if it is unlimited. "Time is gold", has this become too cliche' that we forget to reflect on its meaning?

My actions tell me that I tend to use time wisely when I know it's limited. I think I should always remember that I should do what I can do now because I might not have the same opportunity tomorrow. My time is limited. And so is yours.
