LifeOnTheVerge

Thunder
When the beat is taken from one's heart
When the touch is taken from one's fingertips
When the breath is removed from your mouth
There is a solemn moment in everyone's life
A day we are forced to choose
Our own life or maybe someone else's
And sometimes when we choose
Something becomes lost in translation
The tides may turn
The skies may darken
The rolling clouds move in
And a sound so piercing
The ear drum quakes
The heart skips a beat
A rush of blood to the head
The sound of the drum
The heat of the gaze
The roll in the wave
The day breaks so fiercely
The cup overflows
And the moonlight shines so brightly
There is hardly darkness to be found
And so we usher in the clap
The striking lights fork through the sky
And there isn't a voice so ominous
As that of the thunder.
