Random & Grateful

I’m going to have to watch what I eat, my sister maybe right about my food choices triggering the Epilepsy. I eat watermelon almost daily because I love it. I eat it with lemon and I sprinkle a little Tajin Seasoning. However when I looked up what foods to avoid because it may cause energy peaks and slumps I couldn’t believe watermelon was on the list to avoid for epilepsy. I have watermelon in the fridge now and I want to eat it but I’m scared to now because I need to get these incidents/episodes under control. I still may eat it but without the seasoning because I don’t want to throw it away. Sadly this may be my last time eating watermelon.

I also looked up what vitamins is best to take with epilepsy and it showed quite a few, I bought Magnesium because it helps with blood pressure, builds up the immune system, helps with muscle and nerve functions but also helps with sleeping, which is something I’ve been having problems with. According to my brother it looks like I’m having nightmares at night when I’m sleeping. I’m so grateful he said I slept perfectly last night, no issues at all. Yay! I did however start taking the magnesium pill yesterday after reading this could help with sleeping, so I’m hoping this can truly help me because I need to get this under control so I can get my independence back and not have to rely on people.

I know my brother is a knuckle head but I’m truly grateful & thankful he’s down here with me at night so I’m not alone while my son is at work. It means a lot to me especially since I’ve been scared and don’t really know what is causing me to have seizures.
