The chase

We're always chasing.

Chasing something/someone we can't have.
Chasing the first time, the first high.
The more someone pulls away, the more we want it.
Once we have it, it loses its value.
Why?
Because their perceived value is all in your head.
Or maybe it's just all about the thrill of the chase.
We are susceptible to 'breadcrumbing'
Our brains love the unpredictability.
Thanks to the dopamine, we let people treat us this way, because the rewards feels so damn good on the rare occasions we get it.

Thrill of the chase.

It can be incredibly tempting to fall for it.
