Scanning The News


I have no control over what is happening, I DO have control over my emotions about it. Read it, see it. It is often only opinion and outside my base reality.

I have a choice of how I react. I can react with anxiety or go to animal mind. There is only the moment and my immediate surroundings. What threat do I see?

None, now.

There is a virus stalking the world. Fear it?
No.
Take precautions when outside. Have a ritual of saving yourself from it. That is all I can do. Getting upset about the news I read? I have a choice about that. Not worth it. Let the adrenaline line dormant until there is something REAL to be angry or fearful about.

There is no tiger entering my cave. Only if I imagine it does it become real and I exhaust myself with those fearful imaginings.
