A Synopsis of my Life

Tonight I have received mournful news. Today on December 17th, 2019, a poet from Krasnoural’sk, a participant of many literary societies of Yekaterinburg, Krasnoural’sk and other cities, Alexei Tokarev, passed away.
I got acquainted with Alexei in 2015, I believe. All of this time we communicated only episodically and not for a long time. Alexei was busy with filming “imperishable things” or “netlenka” as he called it, from Russian “netlenniy” – “imperishable”. In general, Lësha (a Russian affectionate deminutive form of Alexei) had left a great deal of video materials about the literary life of the Sverdlovsk Oblast. This is one of his merits.
Apart from all of that, yes, Alexei Tokarev was a good poet. He published many sets of poems in many literary journals and several collections of his poetry. As for me personally, I will always remember Lësha as a good author, kind and responsive, above all of that respective towards eminent authors and to all of the people. He had the talent of listening, which is indeed rare nowadays especially among many young “poets”, who tend to reject rules and principles of poetry. Very often they take their refuge in the verses libres, other unconventional forms of poetry or even intermediate forms.
May Alexei Tokarev remain in our hearts forever. As Elena Zakharova called him “a kind angel among us”.
ETERNAL MEMORY…
