After work I headed to the Uralmash recreation center which is on 3 Kultury Boulevard, to take part in a regular meeting of the seminar of Lubov Ladeishchikova. I came around thirty minutes later, when the presentation of Eugene Lobanov had already been in progress. He was presenting his new audio play called “My Sea” (Russian: “Moyo more”, Cyrillic: «Моё море»). When I entered the room, I began to speak a bit too loudly, so Eugene Lobanov said, “Namesake, don’t be too noisy”.
Following his presentation Elena Zakharova said a few words about the Festival of documentary movies, which took place not long ago.
When Lubov Ladeishchikova had made some remarks, Tatiana Paderina (Russian: Татьяна Падерина) read several poems by Marina Tsvetayeva. Then we talked a bit about Sergei Yesenin and his poetry. One of the participants of our meeting, Vadim Andreyev (Russian: Вадим Андреев), sang “Klyon ty moy opavshiy” (English: “You, my naked maple, that in icy show” – Translated by Zinovy Korovin). He somehow combined reading and singing.
A new guest named Fyodor came to our meeting too. He does not write poetry, but he writes books about famous people he met personally. He was given several minutes to talk about it. I even offered him to write something about Marina Kamenskaya, but Eugene Lobanov said Fyodor had not met her personally, so… I apologized.
I came late, so I did not hear the information about the celebration of the eighty-fifth anniversary of the Uralmash literary society. Lubov Ladeishchikova said we would talk about it in more detail next time. As for me, I am worried about it. Taking part in this event would be a great honor to me, truly.
When our meeting was coming to an end, and almost everything was eaten up, Lubov Ladeishchikova offered me to have some ashberries. Several branches of mountain ash with some daisies were standing on the table in a vase. I refused at first, but later I got down to gobbling the ashberries together with her. She liked it…
When the meeting was over, I asked Lubov Ladeishchikova if I had some potential to be a true poet. She said, “You do not write much. You should work, but I see your poems have a potential”. I kissed her hand.
After our activity Vadim Andreyev offered me to join his free poetry reciting class at the Uralmash recreation center. I promised to think about it.
