Midweek Reflection

I have started three entries this week and haven’t been able to get back to them because when I get home all I want to do is veg, relax, and or get ready for bed and get kitty time. The time management is as always, a work in progress.
I am also a little annoyed with the media in general. On two different occasions this week the national and local media jumped on events and released incorrect or unsubstantiated information and caused a lot of anguish and misjudgment on the incidents. The first one I am talking about is the releasing of information during the Late Kobe Bryant’s horrible helicopter crash. In the name of god TMZ and any other “media outlet” need to restraint. I give the Sheriff credit for taking the trash mag to task for releasing information before the families were even notified.
The other incident was yesterday when the local media announced that “the body of Fortis Doulas” found in his garage. Now if any of you who is not familiar with that name he is the man accused of murdering his ex-wife several months ago. An hour after the original report was released more information came saying he was in critical condition and it was a suicide attempt. I have been told in the age of knowing immediately and to be the first for a scoop it’s the reason this happened, but it is also necessary to GET ALL THE INFO first. No wonder so many people get disgusted with mainstream news.
This happened once before many years ago on a local fox channel when a mentally ill man murdered someone, and that station blew it way out of proportion and Mom was angry by it. Mom at the time was part of the mental health associations and boards and at the time they had to deal with the backlash.
Work is still in the transition period for us. Previous methods and routines are being tweaked or adapted for this new place so that it is all running smoothly. Sometimes its stressful and sometimes you learn to roll with the flow. All I know is I am tired by the time I leave the office.
I made tentative plans with Siduri to get together next week for either coffee or quick lunch. We will follow up next week.
I am getting more confident on the ride in without the use of the GPS and it seems to be getting better. The same for the ride home. Unfortunately, I still get home by 5 most nights and that cuts into things for the outside activities.
I have been to the gym consistently for two days in a row. I was hoping to get there tonight but it never happened. My hope is to get something in between the dentist and the DTC tomorrow. Going Saturday and that afternoon is going to be crazy.
This weekend is going to be crazy. I have a dentist appointment and the DTC tonight. Never finished the minutes. Saturday two classes, the Vet, Alex, the Ladies Guild nominating committee and the meet up later in the afternoon. Sunday should be quiet.
