Today I just want to wish you a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
May the good things of life be yours in abundance not only on this holiday but throughout the coming year!
"Thanksgiving Day, annual national holiday in the United States and Canada celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year. Americans generally believe that their Thanksgiving is modeled on a 1621 harvest feast shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of Plymouth and the Wampanoag people. The American holiday is particularly rich in legend and symbolism, and the traditional fare of the Thanksgiving meal typically includes turkey, bread stuffing, potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. With respect to vehicular travel, the holiday is often the busiest of the year, as family members gather with one another."
"Turducken is fast becoming a popular recipe for Thanksgiving. The term turducken comes from the combination of tur(key), duck, and (chick)en because the dish is actually a chicken stuffed inside a duck that's then stuffed inside a turkey. When sliced, each piece contains portions of chicken, duck, and turkey with stuffing in between the layers. Turducken is not difficult to make, but it is a little time-consuming, so plan on adequate preparation time. The end result is a worthy showstopper."
“The Thanksgiving tradition is, we overeat. ‘Hey, how about at Thanksgiving we just eat a lot?’ ‘But we do that every day!’ ‘Oh. What if we eat a lot with people that annoy us then?’” -Jim Gaffigan
"Thanksgiving is more than the festivities, it gives us time to ponder upon what lessons we learned and how we can spread happiness around, to look back at all the great memories and good people who came into our lives. We appreciate you so much."
