Scream Above the Sounds
First (and second!) day of Access
Okay, I'm a promise breaker, I forgot to write after my first day. I was genuinely knackered though, it was so difficult getting back into the swing of things, but here I am now! The first day was fine, it was still odd and a bit awkward, but we made it through. It was the same old spiel as the induction really, icebreakers and that kinda stuff. It's incredibly tedious. The psychology lecturer is really nice, I'm oddly attracted to her too. She seems very nice and helpful, and we get to study criminal psychology so that sounds pretty great! I feel pretty motivated and it's nice to be back in a routine, even if it is a bit of a struggle to get out of bed at the minute. It can only get easier, right? I had my second day today, I had a bit of a lie in, so I didn't get out of bed until like 11am. It was a much needed rest! On the way to the college I had my headphones in, but somebody tapped my arm as I was walking and it was a girl who is on my course, I don't know her very well, I just know her name is Daisy. We walked and talked the rest of the way, she seems pretty nice. She hasn't been to the college before, so I was briefing her on what certain lecturers were like, where things were etc. The lessons today were pretty daunting, it was everything I had done last year, so I was really annoyed that I even came in for it. I suppose it helps for 'class bonding' and all that stuff. It was just Literacy/Numeracy tests that I had done last year. Yawn. It was 'freshers week' though and there was free domino's pizza in the college, that was most welcome. I even went for two slices, I'm a bad boi.
The bus home was a treat too, and by treat I mean fucking horrendous! The bus was pretty busy, but I managed to find a seat at the back. I had my headphones on; Drake was playing 'Just Hold On, We're Going Home'. Positive vibes...until some massive bald guy plastered in tattoos decides to sit next to me. I can see from the corner of my eye...he's looking for an opportunity to talk to me, and I tried my best not to give it to him, until he tapped me and asked if he could 'have a listen'. Why do I always attract the fucking weirdos?! I said yes, because I'm weak and an idiot. It's fair to say, he didn't enjoy Drake. He asked if I could put on some Metallica for him, and I don't mind, I love me some Metallica. This guy was out of his fucking MIND. He was doing air guitar, smashing invisible drums, he was in his element. I could see he was absolutely scaring this little five year old kid shitless in front of him, it was horrible. He then told me that he had just got out of prison, so that was wonderful. I wondered if I'd live to see the rest of this bus journey. Thankfully, here I am, alive and in living colour, but fucking hell, that was awful. I'm not sure what my plans are for the rest of the day, my parents are away for the next two days, so I'm currently blasting out Post Malone's latest album. I'll probably cook soon and then I think I'm going for a run and seeing Louise a little later, unless she cancels, we'll see.
All in all, a painful but eventful day.
