Coasting Through Life
As this is an online journal, I would like to begin by informing my readers that any names, locations, and other identifying information has been minutely altered to protect the privacy and safety of myself and those mentioned within the journal. The purpose of my journal is to allow me to decompress the thoughts and emotions that I often keep bottled up inside me in a way that is healthy. Furthermore, it is my intent that this journal be somewhat interactive. I look forward to reflecting upon the questions and comments offered from my readers as they will undoubtedly aid me through the wisdom of shared experience.
That being said, I should probably offer a somewhat superficial synopsis of my life before we get into the nitty gritty. My name is Kyle Devlin. I teach the social sciences to students of the high school level in Europe. I am married and my wife and I have been together for twelve years, married for the last three. We are struggling to make ends meet financially and have other stresses which can often lead to arguments between us. We do have an amazing little boy, whom we both love to the fullest and who will be turning two soon. I have no true friends to speak of; only colleagues who I'm friendly with. Therefore, having you the reader acting as my sounding board will be invaluable to me. I look forward to hearing from you.
