Time is $$ and The Angel of Death comes to us all!

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessings be upon Muhammad, his family, his Companions and all those who follow in their footsteps until the Last Day.
I am going to try not to make this a tirade, I want to share how I got to this point in my life, mostly for those that follow after me; my Sons and those to come after them. Their Mother just passed away last month, quite the shock, it's effects still stifle me at times, I spent 23 yrs of my life with Kathy; more time than I spent with any woman/female in my entire life, including my own Mother. I'm sorry to have kept her at a distance, especially when we lived in direct proximity to one another, I didn't think she could handle my presence; not sure I could handle hers. My eldest commented to me how every succeeding man in her life resembled me, I didn't want to remind her of what and who didn't work out. Joshua was outstanding, taking the initiative and control of her final affairs, the remaining Family's leader; I found myself in awe of his command of the situation and them. Being our First born, he assumed the mantle I never solidified. His Mother was never my Wife and in hindsight, I owed her so much more!
4/7/19 Recently received an NCR (Non-conformance report}, what one receives when they miss something during a run, the construction of a bag. I run a zipper machine, primarily, we've all used zip lock bags. I generally do very small bags because I'm not bothered by the challenge and it is indeed a challenge to check the integrity of the bag/zipper and print, especially when they want the machine to produce 150 bags (or more) a minute. I've run orders for millions, I've been the only operator required to do so (alone), initially the job required 2 people; one person opened the bags to be loaded and the other person managed the count. The client wanted the bags in increments of 100-50 and 25. I was able to cut out the second operator. I poked small holes in the bag to be loaded, this minimized the static and made them easier to fill. How much money I saved the company, utilizing my imagination, should've been shared by me. Unfortunately, I rarely think in monetary terms , especially when I'm visualizing possibilities. My boss recently came to me with a job that he couldn't figure out how to produce, apparently putting bags in a bag has become a knack of mine. The average operator refuses to put themselves in a customer's shoes, refuses to imagine how they would want something done, if it were their money being spent. They don't bother attempting to be neat, let alone efficient. My boss would get the co-owner of the company to see the template I constructed to do the job, I got an "attaboy", as opposed to an increase in my earnings. Our bosses must be asked to pay close attention to what an operator does wrong, as opposed to what they do right, this limits wage increases. As of last week, I've decided to keep a record of the jobs I do, complete with samples; the machines are out-dated and malfunctions are the order of the day. I have received 2 NCR's in the last 30 days, I think, this nullifies a seemingly spotless year to date, regardless of the templates I've designed to do specific jobs for this department. I've actually been considering moving on, company called Global Foundries manufactures semi-conductors, a friend of mine worked for them and they pay very well; they also love the ex- military and that puts me in a good hiring position. My Son told me (earlier this year) that he was expecting to earn $100,000 this year, he began shopping his resume; he was interviewed by a company that chose to offer him 75% of his expectations. I'd come to find out that he was already making more than twice my earnings. He believes I should be in sales, we were discussing the oils I wear and he's considering a start-up with the oils in mind, he wants me to be the master of my own destiny; he wants to concentrate on high end oils. I impressed upon him how important packaging is, most times a person will make a purchase relative to packaging. When I still drank alcohol, I was more likely to purchase something new, based on the packaging. I'd gone into a liquor store for a bottle of Sambuca, I found myself looking at something for sale that came with glasses, very nice glasses and I bought whatever that was; if I didn't like the alcohol, I still had the very nice glasses to show for the money I spent.
