Having finished with my medical treatment today, I headed for the Belinsky Library. I needed some information from the Encyclopædia Britannica for my historical and literary research. These will be the final details; the research is over, and the article is ready along with the translation of “A Cossack Poem”.
When I had finished working, I decided to visit the exhibition of paintings by Roman Serebrennikov in the Depository document storage center, which is on the fifth floor of the extension. Generally speaking, I enjoyed this exhibition. On the table, next to the entrance, there was a piece of paper with some information about the artist. In particular, it said something like “Roman Serebrennikov has long been collaborating with Eugene Kiselev, a poet from Yekaterinburg. Serebrennikov has illustrated three books by this author already”. As I was walking around the hall enjoying great pictures, I came across some illustrations from the coming book by xadiƶa nurutdinova I have almost prepared for the publication. When I saw the captions, I was dumbfounded. They said “the pictures from the book by Eugene Kiselev”! I told Marina Gusakova (Russian: Марина Гусакова), the librarian, about this embarrassing position. She said she did not know who had done the inscriptions.
Having left the Library building, I came across Frank Grabanski accompanied by a lady. Frank wore a yellow T-shirt, black shorts, sunglasses and flip-flops on his feet. The lady had sunglasses, too. We said “hello”, shook hands, and he introduced me to his companion. Her name is Irene and she is from Australia. That is all I know about her so far. We had a short conversation, I said my work would start soon. Frank said, “Work means money. So, this is good”. Irene wished me well, and they headed to the Library, whereas I went home.
