Indeed, meeting with relatives is always a lot of fun. Today we congratulated Olga Brezgina, my aunt. She has turned fifty on June 27th, 2018, however she decided to invite us today.
So, we had a very good party. Among the invitees were Émile Rapoport, Galina Morozova, Nina Brezgina, Galina Chilek, my Mom and I. Olga’s husband Vladislav Brezgin and their children Ilya Brezgin and Anna Brezgina were also there. Émile Rapoport composed a poem dedicated to Anna and congratulated her on her successful graduation from secondary school. He also wrote a poem for Olga and gave her a present. We also gave a present to my auntie. In addition, we bought the three sprays of white chrysanthemums.
I must say, the refreshments were superb: a cold soup made of kvass, pickled cucumbers, carpaccio, bananas, oranges, different salads, a cabbage pie and a potato pie. We had a cake for tea. We did not drink any alcohol tonight. Instead we drank kvass, which was of a very high quality.
All was good; regardless of the fact I did not feel very well at first, my mood improved as the time passed. We told jokes, shared our exciting and funny stories from our past work experiences, etc.
Ah – ha – ha – a! I am recalling the time, when I was at the thirtieth anniversary of my aunt twenty years ago. On that day, I overate to such a degree, that I crept on all fours all around the apartment! I had colics in my intestines, so I could hardly adopt upright position and go home.
My Mom, Granny Galya (Galina Chilek) and I left a bit earlier. Granny Galya went home, whereas my Mom and I went to the tram stop to go home.
