The other day, I gave in my resignation from “News of the Ural State Mining University”. I simply understood this job was not for me. I have already written about it here. To tell the truth, this was a load off my mind. At the moment, I am translating my last metadata, which will be for the forthcoming issue of the News of the Ural State Mining University.
This morning, I had a vision again. I am not sure if this was imagination, though. When I woke up, I got up and went out of my bedroom. When I opened the door, I saw a corridor with dazzling-white walls, it was all shining. At the end of the corridor there shone a blinding light, but it was very pleasant to look at, it instilled feelings of joy, happiness and peace. I loved it, I was charmed by what I have seen. When all was finished I found myself standing at the doorstep of the bathroom.
Frankly speaking, I cannot understand the meaning of the visions which are visiting me from time to time. Maybe, this still is concealed from me. I do not want to tempt the powers of Heaven; this is even a sin in a biblical sense.
Today is a Birthday of Alexander Pushkin (1799 – 1837) (Russian: Александр Пушкин), “the Sun of the Russian poetry”. He is best known for his novel in poems “Eugene Onegin”. This book has been translated into English many times, one of the translations belongs to Vladimir Nabokov. Also, Pushkin was an author of numerous fairy-tales for children, as well as love stories. As for me, I even tried to translate one poem by Pushkin into English, this translation was published in a book dedicated to Pushkin. Of course, as of today, all the works of Pushkin have already been translated into English a numberless amount of times, I have just made an attempt to present my version.
