A Synopsis of my Life

Today is Friday, so I have decided to go to mosque. It is worth noting, that this is the first time when I have visited the mosque two Fridays consequently. To be honest, I was also worrying about my new friend Marouf. When I have entered the mosque yard, I dropped in at the barber’s where I met Marouf alive and kicking. There were also other men there. I told “As-salāmu ʿalaykum” to all of them. Xasan, the barber, also greeted me. Marouf reported to me that last Friday he had been released right after his documents had been checked. We exchanged our phone numbers and went to the mosque. Having finished with the tahara which I was doing twice for now, I went up to the hall of the mosque. The jumuʿah had already started. At the very beginning, Ənvər Xəzrət, the imām, gave the people some admonitions that they should keep their documents in order. He also complained of the fact, that there are many Muslims who do not read the ṣalāt or who would prefer to bury their deceased relatives in a coffin… Ənvər Xəzrət also desired that the Muslims could call other people to Islām by means of their own example of righteousness as well as by means of their tongues. Following his remarks, Ahmed Hazrat began the Friday sermon. He talked a great deal about the words of the shahadah (لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلله مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ ٱلله ) lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh muḥammadun rasūlu llāh, which mean “There is no god but God. Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is the messenger of God.”). In particular, he emphasized the words “lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh”. “Whoever says “lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh” will enter the Paradise. Also, those who say “lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh” will have the prerogative of seeing Allāh in the Jannah. If a person, who was a sinner or a pagan, sees Allāh, his face will turn black, and this will be a great misfortune to him. On the other hand, if a righteous Muslim, who always says “lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh”, sees Allāh in the Paradise, he will be as happy as the one who drinks cool water in a scorching day. There is a story, when a dying man, who was not a Muslim, said “lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh” right before dying and entered the Jannah after his death. In the Jahannam, there are seven doors, just like the phrase “lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh muḥammadun rasūlu llāh” has seven words. If someone says “lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh muḥammadun rasūlu llāh”, the seven doors of Hell will be closed to him, and he will enter the Paradise. These words of the shahadah are extremely important for us, Muslims. We should always say “lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh” if we want to be saved. Many righteous Muslims pronounce the phrase“lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh muḥammadun rasūlu llāh” around 1,000 times a day! So, we should strive to reach salvation, we should not forget the words of shahadah” – this is a brief account of the today’s Friday sermon.
After the sermon, we read the Friday ṣalāt, at the end, everyone shook hands in a circle; Ahmed Hazrat read his duʿāʾ in Arabic. Later, I asked Murad to take a picture of me and Marouf. Following this, Murad again offerd me a lift home. I agreed. As we were going by car, we were laughing a lot. At the end of my journey, we said “goodbye” to each other, Murad smiled at me; I smiled at him too and went home.
Having arrived home, I received a phone call from my ex-wife, Anna Kochtygova. She has caught a cold recently, so she could not speak much. So, she began to accuse me of having ruined our marriage, etc. Later, she sent me the two SMS-messages. Here they are:
“You are not changing. You will remain as you have always been. You should change; people will reach out to you.”
“You were guilty of a lot of things. You wanted to ruin our marriage. Not me. I am just feeling sorry for you a lot.”

I have also had a vision today. At about 04:50 p.m., I looked at the sky and saw an airplane. I saw another airplain flying above it. I even had a thought that this plane was trying to destroy the one flying under it. I suppose, this might have been a play of specks of light. Maybe. However, I saw it. Not clearly, though.
That is how I have spent my day.
