Scream Above the Sounds
Back On The Grind
So I went back to work, it was better than I expected but still pretty bad. I spoke to my manager about everything that had happened and he understood that I needed time to reflect and he thinks HR should understand. Even if they don't, it's whatever. I've heard they are assholes so I don't expect them to sympathise or anything like that. It is what it is.
People have been talking about me for weeks, it doesn't surprise me. Not in an arrogant way but I know I'm the most talked about person in this place as far as night crew are concerned. All for the wrong reasons, obviously. There's nothing positive to say about me. People supposedly asked where I was or what happened or how I was feeling. I don't know. I doubt anybody really cared or any of it was sincere, they probably just wanted something to talk about. I feel like most people know to be honest. Well, I'm pretty sure everybody knows that I'm now single. Whether they know that my ex has moved on with somebody else is a different story. I imagine they do because if she was quick enough to tell me, I imagine everybody else has caught on. One guy I work with asked a friend on an overtime shift if she "saw what was going on" with them. So I imagine it's pretty obvious at this point. Anyway, that's nothing to do with me. I don't care about the situation or either of them, or whatever they choose to do. The point is; I think people just want some sort of information from me, some gossip, something to talk about. I've got no interest in entertaining anything they ask. I'm honestly just trying to keep my head above water and just taking every day as it comes and getting stronger/better. But yeah, as far last night's shift went. It was business as usual, thank God I guess. I put my music on and the shift flew by. I was exhausted by the end of it. I had been up 23 hours by the time I finished. My body clock has been completely out of it because I hadn't been going in for 2 weeks. I collapsed as soon as I got in.
I woke up feeling amazing today. That sleep worked wonders for me. I've just wrote two new articles for my wrestling website and was also on a podcast for the first time Thursday night, that was fun. My Dad made us some hot dogs and now I'm just waiting to catch the FA Cup Final before I go to work again tonight. That's all I've got.
