Day 7: To You Who Taught Me Love

Can you hear my voice?
Do you already have a precious person?
I might seem to be far away,
But am actually closer than you think.
Although I'm sure you are not able to see me.

Because you'll be troubled if I told you "don't forget about me",
I kept up a facade till the bitter end and said "you can forget me" instead.
If I convey that "I want to you to notice" this late,
Are you just going to smile with a troubled face?

Don't love your present days,
Can't you see that I'm not there?
Saying that having nothing was happiness,
Is just natural.
If my wishes can be granted,
If I can have you laughing by my side,
I want to see you again,
You, who taught me love.

The way you walk, and talk,
Are still the same as back then.
But, somehow your face looks more grown up,
My heart painfully skips a beat.
If I knew we're going to part ways since the beginning,
I might have said "good morning, thank you, sorry, goodnight" more properly,
I am regretting that now.
I am overflowing with words I want to convey to you.

I want to try touching you as you are now.
I want to hold you tight with these hands.
Today again, I call your name,
From this world where you don't exist.
Whenever I close my eyelids, always there,
The precious days come back to life.
Even the memories sinking into tears,
Shine bittersweetly.

The color of sky, the sounds of the city,
All of them change, but memories remain without fading.
That's why I want at least this voice to reach YOU.

Love your present days,
Although I'm not there.
Just don't forget that we were able to live at the same time.
If we are able to be reborn,
And able to laugh together,
I want to come again to you and meet,
You, who taught me, love.

To you, who taught me love.
