Humid Saturday Evening.

Well, it's a quiet weekend at the respite house that I am in. Not the same one that I was in last week, another one.
New Zealand is having a pretty hot Summer this season. We experienced a country-wide storm with gale force winds a few days ago. I read about what happened in other areas of the country. Holidaymakers were packing up and going home. There was more flooding and a tonnage of precipitation in some parts. Pretty scary because it is not usual weather, however, some drought stricken pasture was immediately turned back to green grass in a very short time. Unreal. I didn't mind the strong winds or the rain either, because it cooled things down considerably, though I do feel compassion for those who were hard hit by the storms. Last night, there was thunder and rain. Love the sound of thunder. Is God growling us? This afternoon is very hot and humid, but there is a lovely wind blowing to keep us cool.
I read in The Herald about other parts of the world, especially USA who are having severe weather too. Freaky stuff. I'm still not afraid of these natural occurrences. Not at all. No-one has turned the air con on in the clients' lounge, but the sliding door is open...makes a difference.
I have just finished mixing a bought packet mix chocolate fudge cake to have for dessert. I'm not a fan of ready-mix anything but it does help that I don't have to make a cake from scratch, because my motivation and energy levels are not up to the work involved.
Things have to change when I go home. It's lovely having wi-fi and a computer to write on...I'm not up to full speed with my writing or art or anything creative, because I have been pouring all my energies into others...not good.
Will write more later on tonight and tomorrow as Sunday will be my last day here.
