Back to the Nitty Gritty

Everyday I feel like I'm getting better....still a few moments where I get somewhat anxious, but it passes. :)
Life is busy and I'm struggling to find motivation and support. My kids are still young and I don't have family available to help me with them. My brother and sister-in-law live a few blocks away from me, but both work full-time and have 3 children of their own. My sister lives 20 minutes north of me and is a stay at home wife (*Note: wife and not mother) and has never had to work for 25 years, so her concept of reality is slightly skewed as she doesn't understand why people have to work as much as they do to live. Asking her to take time out of her busy schedule of being a stay at home wife is like pulling teeth and even when she does agree (after having to offer to pay her $100) to watch her nephew and niece, she follows up with a comment of, "you know I don't mind helping you, right? But isn't there someone else you can ask?"
.
So, being fairly new at being a single mom, these experiences have made me realize that you can't always count on family to help and one must be strong and resourceful. My home based business was put on hold for a bit while I was tour guide to Lt. and the kids started back to school just as our outdoor excursions ended. My nursing home decided to change our schedules which made me unavailable to my children most weekends :_( which also set me back emotionally. But I feel like the pressure that was sitting on my forehead has mostly lifted. My mind still isn't working 100% as it had and I know this by how easily distracted I can get or how inefficient I am with my time.
.
Despite my struggles there have been so many positives.
My friend from work is expecting her first child! She will make a wonderful mom. She is patient, caring, and smart. My heart is overflowing with joy for her as children are such a blessing in our lives.
My ex's things are out of my basement! Yay! I can't believe how just having it out of my house, makes it so that I can be comfortable and not dreading to go down to my own basement. :D
I am attending my workplace Christmas party for the first time in 7 years. As my place of work is owned by the city, all city employees (police, transit, utilities, social workers, and nursing) will be at this function. This makes me a little nervous and I hope that I'm not over dressed or under dressed. Either way, I had my hair done for this upcoming event. Highlights and lowlights of brown and caramel-blonde.
My kids are happy and healthy. We have our routine and they give me motivation to keep going.
Daryl had a saying on his website that I might put up in my house because I really enjoy it, "There are Riches in Niches, B#$ches!" LMAO...but so true. God luv you Daryl!
.
Ok! Nitty Gritty!
1) Work more-must have flexible hours!
2) Work more on the business
3) Kijiji ad for serious only nannies with own vehicle
4) Make my household to do list and chip away at it.
5) Refrain from making more projects
6) Read bible everyday!
.
I wanted to take up yoga, but a lady from church said that Christians don't do yoga because of it's origin. I can't imagine it being a bad thing as it seems to be a beneficial exercise....Something to look into. :I
