Friday Joy.

Nearly the end of October...can't believe it. How the year has flown...carried me near and far, upstream and downwind in spirals and flow-backs...set-ups and set-backs....fine-tuning the pain and horror of active addiction and falling back into PEACE AND JOY again and again and once again...jumping on and off carousels...winding my heart into tighter and tighter co-centric circles...living in a continuously wired mind and breaking out of the cycles of addictive behaviour to discover a happier place and space in time and life....I'm not sure if this paragraph makes sense to anyone else but it does make sense to me...I think......yes it does.

Just finished Friday recovery coffee group and I'm writing at our town library using free WiFi. I'm very grateful to have this public service available during opening hours...very.

In our local free newspaper is a column for "What's Hot in Local Businesses", and customers can write to the editor naming a business and thanking them for the great service they were rendered, and it is published in the column. Well. I liked this one which I read about in yesterday's edition of our local free paper naming a shop which is a childrens' toy shop. Here it is :

"Great service from --------. A quick 'soultion' to a missing part. (A missing part on a newly purchased toy, I presume the customer was talking about.) Thanks for your help, Jeanette"

.........hmmm....'SOUL-TION" aye? A typo or misprint obviously...or was it??? I've a different feeling on this matter. This customer may have a difficult child and THAT toy could've been a very important part to her, or his, SOUL's solution to getting a bit of bloody peace and quiet. Yep, having a missing part of a toy could've been a bloody great disaster otherwise...who knows. Here's to wishing mums and dads, grandmas and grandpas a bit of "SOUL-TION"!
Edited to include, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers & sisters, friends or anyone that frequently cares for children!!

Local entertainment tonight for myself. An ace trumpet player is back in town after 5 years absence. Unmissable. (Sad Sack 71 is accompanying me.........well....tagging along really.) I don't mean him any harm and his code name is not a play on disparagement. He is a deeply sad person and he carries this profound sadness on his sleeve, which makes him so very vulnerable. Otherwise I do treat him as a full citizen and approach him carefully, as I do need to take care of myself. Always.
Charity walk around an enormous lake tomorrow morning, church on Sunday.

A blessed weekend to one and all.
Many blessings, much light, and a whole lotta love.
Always, your diarist friend, Amanda-Jane. New Zealand.
