Springtime Wednesday. (Posted Monday 16/10/17.)

It's about time I came back here to write a word or two because the weather and other activities have been preventing me from making this an important priority again in my life.

First and foremost, I am sober. Today is day fifteen. I've finally done it...made the decision to stop drinking...It feels wonderful and light on the inside. Got stacks more motivation and CLEAN energy...I have been keeping regular contact with others in the community who support the good cause of recovery both addiction and mental health. I wish we had a Dual Recovery Anonymous meeting established here in New Zealand but we do not....YET.....here's hoping.....not to say that others have tried...I'm so busy...need to pace myself or I won't be able to keep this up...

I'm at the town library writing my entry on one of their computers, because I do not have time to sit under the blossoms by the local info centre and make use of our town's free wi-fi today. The last three weeks have been incredibly busy and I haven't had any bed rest until yesterday. Today I have financial stuff to take care of, then I am going back to bed for another two days and I'm not going to resurface until Friday. Crikey. This sobriety business is busy....

We have most RECENTLY, had our Elections for parliament. It was a very interesting time of things this third yearly round and I wanted to share the list of political parties that were registered this National Election. Here they are...all 16 of them, in the order that they appeared on the official voting poll paper on voting day. I voted of course, HOWEVER, there was a bit of a mix-up when I went in to vote. My name did not appear on either of the two voting lists on the national register, so I was basically told I mustn't have registered...I was pissed off, because I knew that I had worked hard at registering as I have moved several times in the last three years. They finally relented and let me have a Special Vote. Pissed me off....don't even know if my vote was counted in the end...sigh...(Slow shake of my head in frustration!)

Here they are. Registered New Zealand Political Parties for NZ Election 2017. (PARTY LEADERS INCLUDED.)

1) Labour Party - Jacinda Ardern
2) National Party - Bill English
3) Green Party - Jeanette Fitzsimmons (A co-founder)
4) New Zealand First Party - Winston Peters
5) Conservative - Leighton Baker.
6) ACT NZ - David Seymour.

14) Maori Party - Te Ururoa Flavell & Marama Fox.
15) Internet Party (Founder - Kim.COM ; Leader - Susie Dawson.)
