ginseng

sunday 1: my uncle gives me tea with lemon, honey, and a piece of ginseng root. i drink the tea and eat the root after. he gives me a "spritzer" to ease the bitter taste. i feel refreshed.
monday 2: my uncle packs me a cooler with snacks and more ginseng. back home, everything cancelled. i make myself a tea just the same way. i chew on the root and spit it out instead of swallowing. there's definitely something to this.
tuesday 3: i sleep in. i think i'm better so i go to work, but i'm not. more tea.
wednesday 4: sleeping as much as possible. i don't remember tuesday or this day much other than skipping club and my student cancelling. i probably cleaned, did homework, and surfed the web like every day. more tea.
thursday 5: called out. gagged up half of the ginseng root halfway through swallowing it. went to the forest at sunset.
friday 6: interned in the morning. more cleaning, sleeping, steam showers. my muscles are wasted. more tea.
saturday 7: placebo tea and sunset at the beach. gave some nice guys a lift from about 5 minutes away. i walked quite far, sunbathed, and worked out and took a bath when i got home. when i lay in bed at night i feel exhausted in the best way.
sunday 8: full moon was this morning. i am still building piles of tissues but they are now more like molehills than mountains. my home is very clean and i am precariously breathing through my nose. my skin feels good from the sun and i feel energized from working out yesterday. i plan to work out again later on. i once had a sickness like this and i really thought it might eat me alive. i think the ginseng tea has allowed me to put up active offenses and defenses while not completely losing a week of my life. i have also been taking multivitamins and eating apples, spinach, soup, and what other power foods i can afford.
