Things I Enjoyed About Christmas.

♥The star-filled night sky and Milky Way.
♥The invite to join my five siblings and their children.
♥Being included in the family trust as a trustee along with the rest of my siblings.
♥The beautiful renovations in the homestead. Best there's ever been. Style and taste provided by the daughter, and added to by the siblings.
♥Seeing the work one brother, one sister, one nephew and neice put into cleaning up the property after the daughter left. (Crisis situation. 2014).
♥Talks with the neices and nephews. Having them gathered around me for a beautiful evening moment.
♥Watching the neices and nephews have lots of fun riding their uncle's scooter around the lawn. I taught the older nephew how to do a stunt on it : stand on the seat and stick one leg in the air while he's riding it. He pulled it of - hahaha!
♥Watching and filming the shooting activities with the same uncle's flash air rifle (it's got point scope). A very very popular activity with everyone except me because I could never get a turn on it during shooting sessions. Had to make do with catching the action through a different kind of lens and thinking up more difficult non-animal targets along with the oldest nephew! We got caught by Upholstery Queen raiding the cupboard for flour to make flour bombs to shoot! So what. Lots of fun. (Yes, I'm a big kid.)
♥Our Christmas hangi lunch. Most delicious.
♥My Christmas nap out in my tiny tent àfter Christmas lunch.
♥The beautiful Christmas church service.
♥Surviving Christmas.
♥The beautiful scenery that surrounds our family home.
♥The odd random nice memory of growing up there. Rare for this to happen to me.
♥Going downtown with Miss Bali, neice and her son to help with the food shopping on Boxing Day, at the supermarket where the other neice is the head supervisor and the youngest of the management team. Then going next door to a cafe for chai lattes and milkshakes.
♥The lovely presents we opened after Christmas lunch that evening.
♥Watching the cooperative, peaceful style in which another sister and husband worked together to put up their tents. Peaceful work ventures are a rare treat in our family.
♥Knowing that the daughter, her husband and the grandbabies had planned an equally fantastic day out at the beaçh Christmas Day. Brought comfort to my soul. (Of course grandma wasn't invited. I knew this ahead of time.)
♥Family trust business meeting being conducted in mostly peaceful harmony. Miracles happen when God is included via prayer.
I'm sure there's lots more, but I'm in pain. Been in constant pain for hours.
Write later...
