Wednesday 21st December. 14:30.

YAY! I'm back online! Recharged my credit this morning for the month. I was just leaving the shopping strip when I bumped into a fellow recovery friend, whom we've both been intending to catch up with each other to do recovery over the coffee cups. Spent a busy two hours this morning doing just that...just about floated out her front door! This is how true recovery needs to be : it's a feel good program ; a time to share experience, strength and hope to edify each other. We finished with The Serenity Prayer. Recovery over the coffee cups IS NOT a 12-step meeting ~ it's an informal extension of that, and are meetings outside of set meetings that can take place anytime and anywhere (other than alcohol ~ related establishments of course.)

It's been a productive past three days for me however, in writing this, I've been giving myself extended periods of respite. Rest and rejuvenation is necessary for future busy times.
I'll be thoroughly happy to experience a busy and productive year of continuing sobriety for 2017.
Sober living is an global phenomena now and I hope that one day it can be a leading consciousness in many, many hearts and minds. Just as addiction is no respecter of persons, so be it for sobriety and recovery.
I'm enjoying a far cooler summer which is wonderful...not looking forward to turning 54 soon...it's just a number and I can choose not to self-impute negativity of any description into my age. The aches and pains etc., are bad enough some days without me adding to it.

My heart goes out to those in the South Island, New Zealand who are still suffering the economic and internal, personal trauma from the recent earthquake.
Merry Christmas Southland. I truly hope that it will be that way for all of you.

We are a giving nation and one of our strengths is fundraising. This latest earthquake is no exception. I'm pretty certain that we have the highest percentage of charitable organisations per capita in the world, or closely thereabouts...I learnt this happy fact through past employment, that's how.

We'll it has been a busy morning actively engaging head, heart and body. So I'm going to try and nap before I start this evening's work.
