Keratoconus

So I've decided to write a diary about life with Keratoconus (KC)

KC a rare progressive eye disease it means that my cornea is changing shape so instead of being rounded mine is changing to a cone son it looks a little like rugby balls, yeah gross. This can cause many problems. Blurred vision, light sensitivity, glare (most people myself included do not feel comfortable driving at night) along with head ache from eye strain, and also means my prescription changes a lot makes it very hard to get glasses that last more than a few months. A lot of people with KC have contact lenses but that's another story for another day.

There is no cure for KC but there is an operation that is want to halt/slow down progression called Corneal crosslinking (CXL) we will get to that later on too. If KC progresses too much then the the final chance is a corneal transplant which has a lot of risk. I hope I never reach that stage.

Right I'm going to leave this here for now my eyes are getting tired.
