Living in the Fog

Devotional #4 Saturday 5/7/16
Scripture: none

Have you ever driven in the fog, so foggy that you could barely see the road in front of you? What about the cars that are up ahead? The line in the road that separates the lanes, is disappearing as well. Fog. Have you ever been scared of the fog? Fog.

My mom is deathly afraid of the fog, especially driving in it. She gets so worked up and full of fright. It gets really scary for her. Me, on the other hand am not that way. I can get a little nervous, but I don't get to the point of full on frightfulness that she experiences.

I live up in the mountains, and commute an hour and 15 minutes to and from work. In this commute is a big mountain that I have to drive over. In the Fall and Winter time, it can get very foggy. I did have a night where I was following the car in front of me trusting that they knew where the road was. Trust. Fog. It was a little nerve wracking. I did get nervous, but I also have a God that is there in the middle of that fog. Fog. Trust. If you can trust your God to see you through the fog, youll be alright.

Up until now, Ive been speaking about the fog down here on earth, now I want to cross over into the spiritual realm....Fog can relate here too.

Have you ever been living amongst the fog of life? Has it ever gotten so foggy that you couldn't see ahead? That too, can be scary. No matter what you are going through, God is there. God can handle the fog because He created it. The fog on earth and the fog that sometimes messes up our lives.

There is the kind of fog that you create, and there is the kind of fog that others create. Either way, sometimes, you must deal with fog. Fog can get tiring, or it can just be a passing moment. Whatever it is, involve God and He will see you through. Don't be afraid of the fog, that only makes it worse. Trust in God to see you through.
