Liberation Day.

This is not a day as we know it ; more like an important period of time fighting for freedom from the past.
Things that have kept me shackled to the powerful shadows of past lives and tormented memories.
Things that have kept me stuck in self-defeating behaviours, erroneous thinking, mental illnesses, active addiction and life-threatening circumstances but to name a few...

"You are not insane. Insanity was thrust upon you and those that did those things to you are sick, perverted, evil and mad."
"I believe you."
"Only the best people come here to get well."
"It's not my fault."
"I don't judge you."
"I love you unconditionally."
"You are not junk. God makes no junk."
"The first years of your life are like shiny, brand new pennies. Each penny represents one year of your life. Those pennies were bent by what big people did to you and every other penny added to that stack has been bent as well."
"It is better to build children than repair grown-ups."
"I believe you. Now I am validating your truths."
"I am a safe person."
"The truth shall set you free, but first it will make you damn mad."

Liberation Day has been spread over thirty years of my lifetime. Relapses have come and gone, each longer than the last. The cycles of crises has lost it's spiral effect and morphed into an eternal circle of strength and light.

Peace hovers midst the fading shadows and the double-edged sword of truth is wielded still.
Rise and take courage little warrior for the battle of life hasn't yet ended.
