Last week's fun

Last week had some highs and lows.

My birthday was on Dec 15th. My friend set up a surprise dinner for me. It was supposed to be 3 or 4 of us but it ended up being like 15. I gotta say that it was great. I didn't pay for a thing too. I ate and drank to my heart's delight. I was ready to pay but my friend Heidi didn't let me. This is the lady that doesn't even have enough to pay for electricity sometimes. She drive Uber now so I guess she makes ends meet.

The bad. I drove 3 hrs to get my kayak from the dealer. Everything was set. It was paid for and was ready for pickup. Total cost was 3,500 for this Hobie. Took it home and was planning on going fishing and thinking of what modifications I was going to do with it. I looked at pics on the internet of people modifying their new 2016 kayak and noticed something strange. Their kayak didn't look exactly like mine. I double checked and sure enough, mine was not the same. I looked at my receipt and it showed 2016. However, the kayak was actually a 2015 kayak. I was freaking ripped off. Furious that they would do this to me.

So, I posted it on Facebook fishing and Hobie links. They all told me that the dealer was dishonest and I should report them to Hobie corporate. I was so made. I told them to get me a new 2016 one and put the accessories I paid for on that new one. At first they said yes. Then later, they defended themselves and said I wanted the 2015. Hell no! I wouldn't buy last years model when the 2016s are hear now. Fuckers!!! So instead of building me what I paid for, they wanted to give me a refund instead. I was too tired to deal with it so I said ok. The thing is that they are 3 hrs away. It's a whole day of driving. 1 1/2 tank of gas. I went there for a total of three times and all for nothing. Did I say fuckers already? Well, I say it again!!! Those fuckers!
